The short DVD introduces Portsoy and its colourful history with particular emphasis on the Old Harbour, the Railway and the Salmon Fishing. It explains why Portsoy became such an important port and trading place and answers many questions such as: How did it become a Burgh? Why are there two harbours? Where was the railway station?  Why did the trains stop coming to Portsoy?  It also takes a brief look at how farming in and around the area impacted on Portsoy as well as the thriving herring fishing industry that once was.
